5/17 - A situation has occurred in U17 girls that the State Cup committee has responded to for the "Good of the Game". We made this decision after careful review of the options and limitations we have to maintain the integrity of the tournament as well as meet the guidelines of the Georgia, Regional and National tournament rules and regulations.
A team has dropped from the tournament reducing the number of teams in the U17 Girls bracket to fifteen. The GYSA State Cup Committee has unanimously decided to fill the vacant slot bringing the bracket number to sixteen. The method by which the slot will be filled is for two play in teams to play a match to decide which advances into the round robin. The winner will be the sixteenth seed.
The current 16th, 15th, 14th, and 13th seeds will become, respectively, the 15th, 14th, 13th, and 12th seeds. This will affect the schedule. The website will be updated on Wednesday afternoon with the changes.Thank you,
The GYSA State Cup Committee
