Winners in the u13 and older top divisions are eligible to advance to the Regional President's Cup in June.

All Georgia Soccer registered teams in the following categories are eligible to participate.

A team may participate in the President's Cup or State Cup, but not both.

Guest players are not allowed.

Academy: all u10 and u11 teams eligible
Classic: all Classic 2 teams and lower eligible
Athena: all Athena B teams and lower eligible

  1. When are the applications due?
    Applications should be received at the online no later than April, 2011.

  2. How do I enter my team?
    Fill out the on-line application form. The application will be available in February.

  3. What do I do about my regularly scheduled game on May 7-8?
    All teams that enter may reschedule their regular season game.

  1. The President’s Cup is offered as a State Championship event for u10 and u11 Academy, *Classic 2 & lower and Athena B & lower and it will be treated with the importance of a State Championship event. It is the hope of the Georgia Soccer Board and the President’s Cup committee that eligible teams will be excited to have their own State Championship and that the event will grow in stature and importance each year.

  1. Are academy teams eligible to participate in the President’s Cup?
    u10 and u11 teams are eligible. U12 teams can enter the Academy Cup.

  2. Can teams, U13 and older, play in both the President’s Cup and State Cup?
    No, U13 through U19 teams can play in either the President's Cup or State Cup, but not both.

  3. Can a player play in both the President’s Cup and State Cup?
    Yes, a player may play in the President’s Cup and then can transfer, within Georgia Soccer rules, to a team that is playing in the State Cup.

  4. Is there a Regional Tournament for winners of the President's Cup?
    Yes, there is a Regional Event for all State President's Cup winners. It is held in June. A link will be posted on this website when details are provided by the Region. State Winners are invited to play in the tournament but it is not mandatory.

  5. Is there a National Tournament for winners of the Regional President's Cup?
    Yes, there is a National Event for all Regional President's Cup winners. A link will be posted on this website when details are provided by the Region.

Dates
May 7-8, 2011

Tournament Eligibility
The President's Cup is open to select teams, classic, athena and academy registered and in good standing with Georgia Soccer. Age groups for this years’ tournament are u10, u11, u13, u14, u15, u16, u17 for boys and girls.

Guest players are not allowed.

The President's Cup will not have a u12 Academy Division. U12 Academy teams are eligible to compete in the Academy Cup.

Divisions
Teams will be grouped according to past playing record to make the most competitive divisions possible. The Tournament Committee alone determines final placement. The Committee uses many factors when ranking teams including league playing division and record and tournament results, etc.

Advancement to Regional President's Cup
The Champion of the top Division in the President's Cup in the u13 through u17 age divisions have the opportunity to advance to the Regional Tournament. Champions in the 2nd Division are 'State Champs' of their Division but do not advance.

Teams
All teams and players must be registered with Georgia Soccer for the ‘09-‘10 seasonal year. US Youth Soccer roster and ‘10-‘11 player cards are required to participate.

Format
U10s will play 6v6 – maximum roster size is 12 players. U11s will play 8v8 – maximum roster size is 14 players. U13, U14, U15 will play 11v11 - maximum roster size is 18. U16, U17 will play 11v11 – maximum roster size is 22 players.

Awards
Individual awards for 1st and 2nd place teams in each competitive age division.

Fees and Deadlines
Applications due - April, 2011

U11 - $385
U13, U14, U15 - $460
U16 and
 older - $475

On-line Registration
On-line registrations are quick and easy and will be available in February. On-line registrations may be paid by check or credit card. 

Refunds
Entry fees are non-refundable once entries close. A $25.00 fee will be charged to teams that withdraw prior to the entry deadline.

Refunds will be made if the tournament is cancelled due to weather or Acts of God, but approximately one-half of the entry fee will be retained.
