In order to host a youth tournament, Georgia Soccer member affiliate leagues must submit an application at least 90 days prior to the start of the event. These applications are then reviewed by the Tournament and Special Games Committee (TSG Committee). The TSG Committee meets the first Wednesday after the third Monday of each month. All received applications are either approved or denied at this meeting. Appeals to the decisions may be submitted to be considered by the Georgia Soccer Board of Directors at their next scheduled meeting. 

Tournament Application

The following items are required as a part of an application to host a youth tournament:

• Permission to Host Form- Must be completed and signed by an official from your affiliate league.
• Tournament Hosting Agreement- Must be completed and signed by an official from your affiliate league.
• Tournament Rules- A copy of the rules for your event. Tournament Rules must include a clause addressing entry fee refunds in the event of a weather cancellation.
• Additional Insurance- If your event is listed as Unrestricted (allowing teams not affiliated with US Youth Soccer), proof of an additional liability insurance policy that covers those teams must be provided.
• Tournament Bond- A refundable $250 bond must be submitted with each application. The bond is refunded after a completed Post Tournament Report form is submitted. Bonds may also be rolled over to future events.

Late Applications

Applications submitted less than 90 days prior to the start of the event are considered late. All elements of the application must be submitted in addition to a non-refundable late fee. The fee for a late application varies as follows:

• $50- From 60 to 90 days prior to event
• $100- From 30 to 60 days prior to event
• $200- Less than 30 days prior to event

Post Tournament Report

After the conclusion of your tournament, a Post Tournament Report must be submitted. Post Tournament Reports have two parts:

• Incident/Injury Summary- Must be completed and submitted within 5 days on the conclusion of the tournament.
• Post Tournament Report- Must be completed and submitted with 90 days of the conclusion of the event.

Once both forms have been submitted, the tournament bond will be refunded or rolled over to a future event depending on request. Post Tournament Reports can be emailed to Zach Walsh (zwalsh@gasoccer.org) or faxed to 770-452-1946.
